I." The top most plate picture represents a cotton plantation with enslaved workers growing, harvesting and processing cotton. A picker, sorter, bagger, and spinner are shown. In the second picture the dressing of cotton by a bow, a method used Asia. To the very bottom tools used for dressing cotton, and also a botanical drawing of the cotton plant and blossoms.
