DescriptionVioloncello, two-piece back of medium curl ascending slightly left to right; purfled edge, plain button at top. Ribs of medium grain. Table of spruce of varying grain, purfled at edge. Modern support post. Original neck, probably re-angled; modern fingerboard. Button at top of neck supports large pegbox and scroll with rather shallow carving. Varnish of reddish brown color.
