DescriptionWoman's hat of cream-white silk forming the covering and lining over a natural straw and paper foundation. Hat is styled with a broad brim and flat crown, 1" high. Ruched silk lace 2 1/2" wide is tacked to outside edge of brim. Replaced bow trimming and ties.Construction History

2. Covered with cream silk sometime in the 18th century
3. Ernest LoNano June 5 1972- "labor to hand clean, piece added to straw foundation, all restored trimming taken apart cleaned, repleated and reapplied." When hat was purchased it had a gauze puff covering the crown and a portion of the brim, removed most likey by LoNano.
