Label TextThis print shows two young women running from attacking ostriches. The artist was poking fun at the extreme headdresses fashionable in the 1770s. The women accentuated the excessive height of their hair with ostrich plumes causing plucked ostriches to chase them. The dog was of no use in fending off the angry birds.
