DescriptionSide chair, splat back; late baroque style with cabriole front legs and ball and claw feet. The front legs have acanthus carving on the knees and knee blocks. The rear legs have pad feet. The seat is compass-shaped with vertical grained veneer on the rail. The slip seat has non-original red leather upholstery and fill above the original webbing and bottom textiles. The back of the chair has a central vase-shaped splat and rounded crest rail.MarkingsSlip seat frame marked "VI".
