DescriptionA rare creamware plate of royal shape with transfer printed decoration; made for the German market. The cavetto depicts a central scene of an Imperial German Navy frigate flying the German Imperial Standard with the double-headed Hapsburg eagle. Below the ship are the initials LCBCC. The rim is decorated with five flowering sprigs and the initials FMDCB.
