DescriptionLight green underside with medium green body and dark green stripes. Front fins and dorsal fins are inserted into body, and lower back fin is lapped into body and attached with two nails. Large dorsal fin has six pierced circles along top edge. Eyes are constructed with circles of plastic attached with small wire nails to body. Lead weight was evidentially poured molten into the hole on underside of body. Tail curves slightly and the copper wire, there, is an early repair of a break in wood. Some orange paint can be seen through abrasions in the body and large dorsal fin paint. There are bored holes, on forward and two behind, the lapped tail fin. Carved.ProvenanceGift of Mr. Merle H.
