DescriptionWavy edged platter with arms and crest of the Parker family.
InscribedArms within an elaborate baroque cartouche with motto below of the Parker family engraved on face of rim with crest of the Parker family on opposite side of rim.
MarkingsTouch mark a pair of dividers with a globe below framed by "IOHN" and "CARPENTER" in curved reserves above and below and foliated scrolls on either side on underside of well (London Touch Plate III, 718; Cotterell 810). Secondary mark an "X" for quality stamped above touch mark.
