DescriptionOval silver stock buckle with three buttons and three prongs (one prong missing)
Label TextRemovable buckles of this form secured the stock or neck cloth of a man’s shirt at the back of the neck. This example was owned in the Prentice and Swepson families of Tidewater Virginia.


MarkingsMarked in relief :1) lion passant; and 2) illegible maker's mark; appears to be two letters, perhaps "E R" ?
