Pool sculp."Label TextThis scripture print is derived from Matt: IX. 9: "As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax office: and he said to him, "Follow me." And he rose and followed him." The print shows an inner court with an arch and draperies. Matthew rises from a seat that is on a tiny platform at the beckoning of Jesus who is outside the gate to the yard. Two other men sit at the table with Matthew. Jesus position is close to a harbor in which one sees sails from a boat and numerous people milling around.
