DescriptionFlute in four sections with ivory ferrules at the joint between sections and an ivory ferrules at the ends. Six finger holes and four silver keys with square hole covers.Label TextEarlier in the 18th century, such "transerse flutes" or "German flutes" as they were called in the period, only had one key. This flute has four-evidence of the early early stages of development towards the use of many keys to help musicians play in tune.
