DescriptionAppearance:Oval dining table: two drop leaves; oval top when open; six shaped legs (four fixed, and two swing) with pad feet; single drawer at one end of table.
Construction:
End rail and drawer blade are tenoned to legs; end rail double pegged to ditto; short, fixed sections of outer side rails are tenoned and double pegged to legs; swing sections of outer side rails are knuckle joined to proper right ends of fixed sections of rails and tenoned and pegged to swing leg; inner yellow pine full length side rails are nailed from the inside to the two fixed sections of outer rail per side; single narrow drawer support runs full length of table and is dovetailed into the center top of the drawer blade and tenoned into the inside of the end rail; rail returns are integral with the rails; drawer has standard dovetail construction with a lipped drawer front; drawer bottom fits into rabbets in the front and sides and is nailed to the front and the underside of the back and from the sides into the edges of the bottom board; fixed top is screwed to the rails from screw pockets in the same.
