DescriptionMetalworking stake with a flared-foot octagonal post topped by opposing square and rounded beaks (horns).Label TextA perfect miniature version of a beak iron, this stout stake would have been used to work smaller metal pieces. At the Armoury, it would have been perfect for shaping components like sling swivels and gun-lock parts.
MarkingsStruck with a mark resembling a sunburst below the junction of the post and head.
