DescriptionWalnut veneer on oak; molded cornice with three secret drawers; two mirrored doors with herring-bone veneer surround; mirror backs screwed on to interior; eleven various sized drawers inside with herring-bone veneer design around each face; brass ring pulls on drawers; lower section with secretary drawer above three long drawers; lower section drawers each with late baroque, early rococo brass pulls and escutcheons; drawers front and sides dovetailed together with bottoms in rabbets in the sides with added runners and nailed across the back; case molded around bottom with bracket feet possibly replacing earlier ball feet or combination half-bracket with ball feet; old back re-nailed in conservation process.MarkingsLabel on bottom of second interior drawer: "William Libbis / 55 Grays Inn Lane / Corner of Port Pool Lane / Furniture, Pictures, China / +c Bought or Exchanged / Valuations Made"
