Label Text"View of The Attack on Bunker's Hill, with the Burning of Charles Town, June 17, 1775". (See 1930-487, the description follows.) The ships have come into the inlet between the two points of land. On one side is the town of Boston, on the other is Charles Town. Charles Town is shown ablaze. Cannon along the shore of Boston are firing , and cannon balls can be seen in the air. Small boats are carrying soldiers ashore from the larger ships. Many shadowy groups of soldiers can be seen on both sides. Engraved for Barnard's "New Complete & Authentic History of Englan"d (Plate 25, P. 687).
