DescriptionCard table with turretted front corners and shaped rail flanking front corners veneered in walnut; top with round corners corresponding to turrets and shaped rails veneered in burl walnut in center portion with double line banding and cross banding around perimeter; central leaf edge tenon; circular pad foot with disk below; straight turned legs with lambrequin shaping on knee which extends onto small shaped knee blocks; folding top opens to reveal round wooden reserves at each corner and dished ovals along each side, playing surface lined in modern brown leather with gilt edge; concertina action rails with brass card table hinges on the top and iron table hinges on bottom at center and at leg joints; a continuous 1/2" dado acros the interior surfaces of the folding rails allows for an oak panel to side across when table open for stability and reveals a drawer,ProvenanceAcquired by donors from Arthur Ackermann & Son, Inc in 1964.
