DescriptionChild's cap of white cotton knitted in a lacy pattern that includes circular motifs clustered to form diamonds and a circular web-like design at the center back. Edges are finished with a heavier cotton cord outline, with two rows of knitted banding on the border. The ties are woven cotton tapes. A pink silk lining is loosely basted in.
InscribedFolding pin-ticket: "DWC 309/AT" and "Knitted Open-/work Baby/Cap Swiss/18th C."
