DescriptionAppearance: Rectangular dining table with deep drop leaves above a plain skirt with gadrooned apron, on four molded square legs.Construction:
End rails tenoned into fixed legs; ends of oak, knuckle jointed, swing rails tenoned and pegged into legs; inner yellow pine side rails nailed to fixed section of oak swing rails and half-blind dovetailed to end rail at corner with swing leg; vertical yellow pine glue block (one replaced) with chamfered inner corner in corners with dovetailed rails; two vertical yellow pine medial battens in sliding dovetails in yellow pine side rails, one from the top and one from the bottom; legs chamfered on inner corners below rail; swing legs notched out on side at top to overlap end rail when closed; gadrooned molding nailed to underside of rails and around legs; fixed top screwed to frame from screw pockets in same; table leaves joined with iron butt hinges to fixed top.
