DescriptionWoman's busk made of maple carved on the front with elaborate "chip" carving in geometric patterns and hearts interlacing point to point. The back is carved with the words: "Hears a fin busk pray sister take it/In rememberance of your Brother/If you should ever split or Brake it/You must Not Expact Annother" and the name "RUHAMAH BURNAM 1770." Also carved in are the initials I.B., probably the brother of Ruhamah Burnam.ProvenanceCora Ginsburg
