DescriptionPlate rack is rectangular in plan and elevation; four supports splay slightly outward at each corner; each support from top to bottom consists of a cone-shaped finial, a baluster-shaped form between two blocked areas, and a ball-shaped foot; the blocked area on the upper portion of the rack supports a brace at each end square in cross section; the rack is formed by a support at each side of the top grooved diagonally from the center to each end and of a width to receive plates; quarter round molding at each upper, outer and lower, outer corner of these supports; a brace, square in cross section, at all sides near base and supporting a shelf of two pieces of wood; most of surface retains old and possibly original paint originally of a light green color.Woods: Primary and secondary material is oak.
