DescriptionSide chair; back composed of four, horizontal, pierced slats, each of which interweaves at center into a circle which is flanked at bottom by pair of carved scrolls; top slat forms cresting rail with rounded shoulders, and is molded on face; slightly serpentine stiles, molded on front edge and rounded at rear; "square" seat with serpentine front edge, upholstered over seat rails; front legs square in cross section, molded on two outer faces and chamfered on inside edge; rear legs square in section, flare to rear and are chamfered on inside edge; four rectangular stretchers, one on each side, one medial and one at rear.Woods: Primary wood is mahogany and side and front rails appear to be ash; corner blocks (Montgomery Type V) are mahogany; rear seat rail is mahogany.
