Label TextHanover Square was one of the first squares square laid out in London's West End in the 1720s. Sitting at the heart of Mayfair, it was a fashionable address in the 18th century. This view shows residences on the square and looks towards St. George's Church. In the foreground two gentlemen are walking in front of a sedan chair beign carried by two men.

This print was previously double mounted with title on rear. It was designed to used with a viewing device such as the optique.
