DescriptionMaple candlestand has square base and sits on 4 pegged legs. The top nine inches on the central post is threaded. It allows a double-armed candleholder to be raised at various levels. Just below the threading is a circular tray. Top of square base is decorated with repetitive gouging on two sides. Tray is plain.ProvenanceIsabella Carleton Wilde, NYC. Mrs. Rockefeller purchased Feb.. 23,1933.
