DescriptionRectangular envelope-type pocketbook of green silk satin embroidered on the front and back with silks in colors of cream, peach, and red, and silver and silver gilt metallic threads. Design consists of coiling scrolls worked in metallics, with silk embroidered flowers and round berries, all springing from center bottom symmetrical scroll and teardrop shape. Edges are bound with metallic and silk patterned tape. The shaped flap is fastened with a metallic cord loop and a domed covered button. Interior has side gussets and is lined with pink silk. Unknown stiffening material.Construction History:
