DescriptionShort socket bayonet with heavy single edged knife blade attached perpandicularly to the socket by a very heavy squared shank which includes a 1 1/4" ricasso. A short false edge reaches back for 4 1/4 inches back from the tip of the blade. The robust socket has a 1/2 mortise covered by a 3" cammed retaining spring, affixed by a single screw near the muzzle end. A thickened reinforce is also included at the rear of the socket opposite the mortise.
