DescriptionAppearance: Rectangular table with overhanging top and rounded edges; straight skirt; legs cylindrical between block sections at joint with rails and stretchers; cylindrical foot; side and medial stretchers square at junction with legs; side stretchers rounded, medial stretcher rounded on top, flat on underside.Construction: The round legs are squared at the top where the rails are tenoned with double pegs to them. The legs are also squared above the round feet where the round side stretchers are squared at the ends and tenoned with double pegs to them. The oval medial stretcher is tenoned and double pegged to the side stretchers. The side stretchers are carved at each end and in the center to squarely meet the legs and medial stretcher at the mortice and tenon joints.
The two board top is rounded on the edges and corners, and pegged to the edge of the rails.
Woods: The top, rails and medial stretcher are yellow pine. The legs and side stretchers are maple.
