DescriptionJug: Thrown lead-glazed earthenware (pearlware) jug of bulbous body rising to straight cylindrical neck; curved beak spout opposite plain extruded c-shaped handle; molded urn-shaped medallion applied on body below spout; decorated with incised leafy vine between concentric double lines at shoulder and three inches above foot; another incised stylized leafy vine around neck, interrupted by the spout; all the incised decoration picked out in blue (scratch blue decoration).ProvenanceEx collection: Anne Watkins, Washington, DC.
