DescriptionReproduction upholstered backstool with serpentine crest rail; trapezoidal seat, straight legs, "H" stretcher, and a rear stretcher. Seat fully upholstered with tufting and partial brass nails; back upholstered on one side, revealing layers of upholstery, materials, and stitched edge roll on other side.
Label TextThis reproduction chair demonstrates the traditional upholstery methods used on mid to late-18th century upholstered furniture. The upholstery has been "cut away" to illustrate all the layers that comprise the upholstery foundation and show cloth.
