DescriptionHammer with a rectangular sectioned steel-faced head which smoothly transitions into a nail-pulling claw. The wooden handle is secured through a rectangular opening in the head by an iron wedge. Decorative filing at the base of the claw on the underside.
Label TextThis minimally decorated hammer was likely forged by a blacksmith. Made without side straps, everyday use would have broken the wooden handle with some regularity. Its design accounts for this and allows for an easy replacement.
