Label TextThis stool, made with its seat in the shape of a tambourine supported by four turned and inlaid legs reminiscent in shape of bridge pins used on some acoustic guitars from as early as the late 18th century, is a companion piece to the banjo chair 1991.2000.4. The construction, materials, and design of the stool and chair suggest that they were made by the same unknown maker. Whether they were intended as a set or as individual components is unknown, but together or individually they make an exciting folk music statement.
