DescriptionShallow narrow-rimmed plate without a foot ring. Bluish tin-glaze decorated predominantly in blue with half-length portraits of William and Mary surrounded by three concentric bands; orange-brown details. The letters "W M R" painted in blue around the tops of the portraits.
Label TextThe London attribution for this plate is based on the shape. Fragments of plates originally of this size and showing part of the figure of William have been excavated both in London and in Tidewater Virginia.
