DescriptionLooking glass: elaborate, symmetrical openwork carved and gilded frame, the inner frame consisting of C-scrolls embellished with leafage, the outer frame of elaborate C-scrolls and leafage with a bird at center of each side; elaborate, high crest of scrollwork and leafage with central stylized fountain below an openwork shell; clusters of flowers at lower corners of cresting; base composed of an elaborate openwork shell flanked by C-scrolls and leafage; frame surrounds original, rectangular glass plate.
