DescriptionOne of a pair of figures of cockerels, the birds in polychrome enamels in the Famille Rose style, the feathers and scales shallowly modelled and outlined in black enamel over turquoise and magenta wings, a red and pink body, and yellow legs. The yellow beak open. The front leg extended on a dark rocky base. The rear leg crouched on a stump. The enamel mottled and with portions having a slightly gritty texture. Significant crazing to closed underside with slight foot. With mold lines and firing cracks clearly evident.Markingsno
