DescriptionSmall eight-lobed fluted dish with scalloped rim. White tin glaze decorated in bright blue with a fern frond on each lobe and in the center the inscription "MF 1669." Solid blue rim.
Label TextThis piece could be an early form of a sweetmeat dish. With its initials and date, the dish may have been a presentation piece intended for display. Shards of large dishes with this decoration have been excavated at Jamestown.
