DescriptionFire Screen composed of a narrow cylindrical pole terminating in removable gilded acorn finial; pole dowelled into elongated with pedestal, gilded beaded ring at top and bottom; carved gilt acanthus leaves urn; supported on 3 substantial curved legs terminating in large, scrolled feet; carved and gilded palmetto at top of each leg with carved and gilded scrolled beaded acanthus leaves on the top of each foot; simple rectangular pine inner frame with scrolled, gilded outer frame, roughly rectangular in section with central scroll and shell carving on chest.
