DescriptionRectangular tray top of sheet iron (Pontypool type), with slightly shaped corners; raised outer border decorated with gilded and pierced crosshatching with small sprays of flowers at corners; center part of tray dished and surrounded by raised rim of fourteen lobes; dished section surrounded by blue-grey band edged and gilt; the central section decorated with sprays of fruit and flowers in polychrome and gilt; the entire background of tray and underside painted in black; tray supported on turned pedestal, hinged at top; pedestal is cylindrical and tapering, terminating in urn at base; the decorative moldings of the pedestal are gilded; three cabriole legs, terminating in pointed claw and ball feet; knees and sides of legs gilded in floral and scrollwork designs.

Materials: Japanned sheet iron top; beech pedestal and base
