DescriptionOne leg and front seat rail from a chair; cabriole leg with "C" scroll terminating in volutes under knee and pad foot and rounded top corner; mortise for side stretcher in leg; seat rail shaped on underside with shallow center drop; ogee knee bracket.ProvenanceLeg was found by Mr. Charles T. Hodges (owner) in an outbuilding of Green Springs Plantation near Jamestown, before the building was demolished.
