DescriptionThis is a doublecloth woven coverlet, center-seamed, and consisting of dark blue wool and white cotton. It is self-fringed at bottom and has a shirttail hem at top. The centerfield consists of large 8-leaved foliage designs reminiscent of starbursts, set in a dense pattern of interlocking flower sprays. The borders are a simple flower and leaf design set over a small swagged edging. The borders are doubled on the sides and single at the bottom. There is no border at top. The lower corner blocks are doubled at each corner and enclosed within each of the four is woven "D. L/West/Carlisle/Ohio".
