DescriptionTeacup and saucer of grayish body and blue-gray glaze with slight puddling. Of Gros Bleu (or very dark blue) ground with large round reserve to center of saucer and two smaller oval reserves to teacup. Both of nearly hemispherical form, with straight sides from small vertical foot rings and small flare to lip.

The central reserve to the saucer with a realistically modelled bull in brown-ish gray facing right in a landscape of green grass and some small woods adjoining a lake and mountain, with a small flock of black birds flying in the distance. The reserve bordered with intricate design in gilt extending onto the cavetto and consisting of shell-work, diapering, arabesques, stacked ogee curves. The edge of the saucer with gilt dentil edge.

The one reserve on the teacup with a white-gray bull obliquely facing the viewer in a wooded landscape with lake and mountain comparable to scene on saucer. The other with a recumbent donkey in dark brown-gray staring into the distance, also in a wooded scene with mountain in background. Both reserves with elaborate gilt border comparable to that on the saucer. The modelling of the animals rather realistic and detailed, probably by Jefferyes Hamett O'Neale.
