Dated the Twenty-fifth Day of August, in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy-four. By Order of the Corporation," "NEW-YORK WATER WORKS" printed across top of face. On back: "ONE SHILLING NEW-YORK: Printed by H. GAINE."
