DescriptionWhite quilted petticoat of tabby weave cotton. Gathered with channel pleats to waistband. Bottom 25" quilted with paired lines, forming diamonds. Quilted area very lightly padded. Backed with coarsely-woven cotton. Scattered flecks of lint or cotton seeds trapped in padding.
ProvenanceDescended in donor's father's family, who, lived in Pittsylvania County, Virginia and Rockingham Count, N.C. (See files for family geneology).
