DescriptionBeaker with straight sides and slightly flaring lip from flat, unglazed bottom. With blue-ish glaze over a cold white body. The inside rim decorated with gilt dentil. The outside with Gros Bleu (or dark blue) ground, with two large, oval reserves. Each with differing, though related sprays of flowers in pink, purple, blue, rust, and yellow, with accompanying foliage spilling out of reserve. Both reserves bordered with elaborate scroll- and shell-work and arabesques in gilt. The flowers stylized, but undoubtedly drawn from peonies, morning glories, poppies, clematis, roses, cornflowers, and columbine. Painted in the manner of James Giles, but probably at the Worcester factory.
