ProvenanceDescended in family of Robert Francis Travis Cole and Elizabeth Labby Cole of Williamsburg, Virginia. Family tradition stated that the shoes, a coat, and gloves were worn by Catharine Boush Cole, 1843- 1846. The shoes appear to date closer to ca. 1870, however, and may have been worn by Virginia Travis Cole, 1860-1867.
