Reverse: A slave enchained with the inscription under his feet, "AM I NOT A MAN AND A BROTHER." On a wide border around: "BRITISH & FOREIGN ANTI-SLAVERY SOCIETY." Around: "GENERAL ANTI-SLAVERY CONVENTIONI HELD IN LONDON 1840."
Below: PRESIDENT Thomas Clarkson [in script] AGED 81."
