DescriptionMoney box in the shape of a recumbent lion, his head and shoulders turned 1/4 left, and his tail curled around to his left. His heavy mane, forepaws, and back are incised with lines which simulate hair, and in the back of his head is a slit for money. The figure is of creamy clay mottled in pale yellow tinged with blue around his face. His forepaws and around the base are streaked with blue and green. All is covered with a lead glaze.
