Globular jar with high pedestal base, everted rim, knopped spout, and strap-loop handle. White tin glaze decoration in blue with standard angel cartouche, inscribed "S PAPAVER." Base glazed.
Label:Syrupus de Papaveris, syrup of poppy, was used as a mild opiate.
