British Masterworks: Ninety Years of Collecting at Colonial Williamsburg

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is known for its outstanding collections of British fine and decorative arts. With the expansion of the Art Museums, this long-term installation of stellar objects from the permanent collections highlights everything from a monumental portrait of Queen Elizabeth I to furniture from the shop of Thomas Chippendale. These objects will showcase the splendors of British material culture over the course of more than a century.
