The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is known for its outstanding collections of British fine and decorative arts. With the expansion of the Art Museums, this long-term installation of stellar objects from the permanent collections highlights everything from a monumental portrait of Queen Elizabeth I to furniture from the shop of Thomas Chippendale. These objects will showcase the splendors of British material culture over the course of more than a century.
This exhibition was generously funded by Don and Elaine Bogus.
