DescriptionA violin made by James and Henry Banks. Belly of single piece unfigured wood with two f-shaped soundholes, back of split wood with medium curl figure, neck also of figured wood with medium curl, ribs of same wood with less distinct curl, scroll of plain wood fitted with four ebony pegs, back and front purfled, fingerboard, chin rest, nut, and pegs appear to be of ebony. Bridge is of beech.
