DescriptionPlane of large rectangular shape with an integral fence and top discharge. The working life replaced tote is offset to the right and sits in the original mortise behind the throat. The top and side edges have flat chamfers that terminate with lamb’s tongue cuts. Fitted with a sharpened iron and a round-topped wedge. Forestock is pierced to receive a traverse stick, which has been secured in place, for pulling the plane while it is being pushed. There is a working life patch repair to the sole in front of throat and remnants of three nails on each edge of sole from past fence and depth stop alterations.MarkingsI*NICHOLSON / IN / CUMBERLAND
